Allogeneic
The patients’ stem cells are
replaced with new, healthy
stem cells from a 100%
compatible donor.
Autologous
Stem cells are collected, which help
produce blood; then, after being treated
with high doses of chemotherapy, the
patient’s collected stem cells replace
the affected bone marrow, allowing the
patient to produce new red blood cells.
Haploidentical
A haploidentical transplant,
instead of using a familiar
donor that is 100% compatible,
the bone marrow or stem cell
donor is a parent or a sibling
with 50% compatibility.
